Sonakshi Sinha in Farah Khan’s bad books?

Sonakshi Sinha is not a very pleased lady these days. Reportedly, she was on top of the list for the leading lady’s spot in Farah Khan’s next directorial Happy New Year (HNY), headlining Shah Rukh Khan. But now, Ms Sinha is no more a part of the film. Other ladies contending for the female lead are Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Parineeti Chopra and even Kajol.
So why isn’t Sonakshi a part of the film anymore?
Reports state that Farah Khan is miffed with the actress for having shown NIL enthusiasm in promoting their previous film Joker. Farah had to finally promote the film with Chitrangada Singh, who merely featured in an item song.
Says an insider, “Farah was always fond of her. But she is miffed with the fact that Sonakshi didn’t promote Joker the way she should have. As things stand now, she is no longer in the consideration list for HNY.”
Buzz has it that Shahrukh Khan is keen on doing a film with Parineeti Chopra.
However, nothing has been confirmed yet. Adds and insider, “Nothing is final right now. Since Shah Rukh has been busy with Jab Tak Hai Jaan, he hasn’t had the time to sit and discuss things with Farah. Once he gets some time off, everything, including the female lead, will be decided.”
Sonakshi, rubbishing the rumors said, “It’s not true”.
Happy New Year is scheduled to start filming in December.
